ABOUT US

GFFR is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 animal rescue organization dedicated to placing rescued animals in permanent homes, assisting with veterinary care for low income families, senior citizens, and pets in emergency situations. GFFR is also a refuge for senior pets and unadoptable pets with chronic health issues.

GFFR strives to rehabilitate abused and abandoned animals on the 5 acre ranch in Semmes, Alabama. GFFR works with all rescue groups through a number of tools such as Facebook and neighborhood email lists, to help find missing pets, find homes for rescued pets, and raise money for spay/neuter initiatives and basic vet care.

GFFR is dedicated to educate people on the vital importance of spay/neuter for all pets. GFFR encourages people to adopt rather than buy any pets, and promotes this message through social media and other venues.

    1. I love the Bone books and have read them for years. I just finished Booty Bones and read about the animal rescue in Semmes. I live in Daphne. I belong to a group that does Murder Mystery plays for charity. We have done plays for the Haven in Fairhope, Randy’s Rescue and for Baldwin County Humane Society. We also raise 9 to 10 thousand each year for Children’s Hospital doing these silly plays. If you think you could benefit from our fun performance please contact. We do not perform for money just because we love it! Thanks!
